**Emerges, blinking, from bedroom with freshly read copy of the latest Harry Potter novel in hand**

Who else finished up Book 6 after a single manic weekend of reading? And is now cursing the fact that we’ll have to wait years (YEARS!!!) to get answers to all the burning questions? I have one friend who is waiting for the seventh and final volume in the series to be released before she starts on Books 1-6, and while I admire her patience, I can’t imagine having such a restrained and rational outlook on life. This is how sick I am: upon finishing this installment, I was like, "But what if I die before the last book comes out? I’ll never know how it all ends!" Yeah. Like that would be my biggest regret in life. Welcome to the depraved world of my mind.

On a brighter note, it turns out that my birthday is the same as Harry Potter’s and, by extension, J.K. Rowling’s. Now if only I could share her estimated billion dollar fortune and lavish Scottish estate…

But while I’m waiting for my sumptuous European manor house to materialize, I have a fun birthday present to play with: an adorable pink iPod. Can I just say? Why have I not had one of these since the day they first hit shelves? I love my iPod—it lets me download and enjoy all my favorite guilty pleasure songs. (No, I can’t tell you what these are; you’ll lose any remaining shred of respect you may have for me. Okay, okay, just one. I downloaded "Jump" by the Pointer Sisters and danced around my office like Hugh Grant in "Love Actually.")

(And it’s also possible that a few ABBA songs might have somehow made their way into my audio files. And you KNOW there was some George Michael involved.)

What? Dude, you know you love "Dancing Queen." Don’t give me that look.
