Okay, first I have to give a big congratulations to Maureen of Yardley, PA—she won a signed copy of the first book in my new teen series, the 310. Have no fear, another contest starts today! Whew. I’m just back from the massive Romance Writers of America conference (aka “Authors Gone Wild”) in Atlanta. Most of my fellow writers were wilting and sweating in the heat (temps in the mid-90’s and humidity hovering right around “sauna”), but not me. No, to this Arizona girl, Atlanta in July is a breezy, balmy respite from the 120-degree desert heat. (Note to self: might be time to relocate.) We all party like rock stars at the RWA conference, and this year was no exception! I ate too much, drank too much, had a great time meeting readers, and I was delighted to hear how many of you had actually read my books or recognized my from my Literary Chicks blog. I love you all (sniff, sniff, choke, choke).

Hmm, what else is new? I am working on some exciting but top-secret new book proposals (can’t tell you about them yet—my agent would have to kill me!), and in the meantime, I have a new Beth Killian book (officially for teens but I promise adult readers will love them, too) hitting shelves this month. It’s called Everything She Wants and it’s a perfect summer beach read—fun, funny, and juicier than one of the overripe tangelos that grow on the trees overhanging our driveway, which my husband and I run over with the cars and then we have unsightly citrus stains all over the asphalt and then the rodents come... Yes. I know--I’m quite the master of the simile. No applause, please. Stay cool, wear your sunscreen, and if you need any tangelos, you know who to call!
