Well, here it is!  I now officially have my own website (and I’m drunk with power!)  I’m going to try to add to this page at least once a month to keep you posted on when new books are coming out and where/when I’ll be promoting them.  But don’t be surprised if the occasional Cubs update sneaks in here as well. 

Right now, I’m still awaiting the publication of my first novel, MY FAVORITE MISTAKE, coming in August 2004 from Downtown Press.  Thanks to my brilliant web designer, Vivian Lund, you can just point and click to read an excerpt or order it via Amazon.com. The first-time author experience has been very exciting so far, but also confusing…I’m starting to navigate the wild world of copyedits. (It turns out my punctuation is atrocious.  And I can’t spell the word “fluorescent.”  And neither can my computer’s spellchecker.)  Next will come galleys—yeah, I don’t really know what those are, either—and advance review copies, and then an actual book with an actual cover with my name on it.  And then the Cubs will win the World Series.  And Wham! will finally reunite. Stay tuned.

It’s the story of a child psychologist who discovers that the preschooler she’s treating for depression is the biological son of her new boyfriend, who may or may not be a rebound romance…and who has no idea he has a child. (But it’s a comedy.  I swear!)
