So…how did it get to be November already? What the hell?

Ever since we moved to Arizona, I have what might be called Holiday Chronology Dissonance, because I’m still wearing shorts and a T-shirt but when I go the mall, there’s holly and pine boughs and blinking white lights draped over every stationary surface. It’s very unnerving for a girl who grew up in New England. How am I expected to Christmas shop and bake cookies when I just turned off my car’s A/C this week?

(Ooh! Wait! I know what will help! I’m gonna go download the Wham! Christmas song to my iPod right now… Ah, that’s more like it. I heart you, George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley.)

Okay, now I can get down to business. November means that it’s almost January, AKA the release date of my new novel, FASHIONABLY LATE. You can read an excerpt, and then pre-order it here. Booklist just gave it a starred review, so you know it’s gonna be good.

Almost as good as the Wham! Christmas song.
